Learning Intervention
Learning Intervention at Watershed Learning Institute is most
appropriate for students with puzzling problems or for whom standard
remediation techniques alone might not be effective. Often a neuropsychological
assessment has been completed.
Intervention is one-to-one consultation with
Dr. Ahern, designed to help students understand the cognitive
challenges they face, develop different approaches to learning
and identify for themselves strategies that they will bring to
the school setting.
To make an appointment to discuss learning intervention for your
child, please contact Dr. Ahern directly at Watershed Learning
Institute at 510-655-0599 or charles.ahern@watershedlearn.org

“I often
refer complex cases to Dr. Ahern. He is unique in his ability
to help the child understand what is going on and engage with
their own process of learning.
In the field of helping children with learning
difficulties, there is a big gap between neuropsychological assessment
[testing] and the ongoing therapeutic work with children in the
process of learning. Dr. Ahern's work bridges that gap with fresh
ideas.”
